Scottish Water: As this issue goes to press, the Community Council is expecting to meet SW representatives on site to discuss what will probably form the basis of their new application for the waste-water treatment plant. The collection tanks and reed beds are to be north of the railway by the Old Manse, close to the present septic tank. After treatment the effluent will be pumped over to the Craigroy Burn for discharge as planned in their earlier application.
SEPA appears to have deemed the flow in the Dridaig Burn as insufficient. With the renewed application so close, we anticipate it will be part of the business of the next Council meeting on 13 January.

Balnagown Estates
Their plot near the Inn has been surveyed during the autumn and they had plans for a development of around 20 units. However they discovered that the extra capacity of the new wastewater treatment plant would only cover the approved development at Stoneyfield and infill plots.
Scottish Water would not agree to increasing capacity for BE' houses as they did not have planning permission. To counteract this obstruction, BE have accelerated its project and have filed a planning application for 22 units. This application must be taken into account when the waste-water treatment plant application is considered. The plans for BE' development are on display at the Hall and the application will be dealt with at the next Council meeting which will be attended by the applicant.
Viewing applications etc.
The relevant documents are displayed at the local Post Office. So it is easiest to look at them on Wednesdays between 10 and 12 (over a free cuppa), but they can also be studied whenever the Hall is open for other events.
