Getting to Us.BY ROAD From Edinburgh. The A9 (Stirling-Perth-Inverness) and A96 (from Aberdeen) are the two main arterial routes to and from Inverness. From Inverness, travel over the Kessock Bridge, continue over the Tore Roundabout, then take the 2nd right on the roundabout over the Cromarty Firth Bridge. Continue north up the A9 past Alness, Invergordon and Tain. Once at the roundabout to take you over the Dornoch Firth take the first left for 2 miles. BY AIR Inverness is the gateway airport to the Highlands and just over 1½ hours from London. Daily services are operated by British Airways (through British Regional Airlines) from London Gatwick and by EasyJet from London Luton. You can also fly to Inverness from Glasgow and Edinburgh.
