Current planning applications
GLENMORIE WINDFARM – a decision was taken on 10 January 2012.
All members attended and voted 4 in support and 4 to object. The Chairman cast his extra vote for a conditional support. ECC has submitted their conditions under 10 different headings. The text of the submission can be found as Annex 1 of the minutes of January 2012. The developer did not attend the meeting although expresssly asked to do so.
13 Feb 2012 The developers announced they have reduced the number of turbines by 9, from 43 to 34.
Representatives visited the ECC meeting on 3 April to answer questions before ECC determines its opinion on the revised application probably in June. A summary of their responses is to be found in Annex 1 of the minutes of April 2012.
21 June 2012 The revised application was submitted. An extraordinary ECC meeting will be held on 7 August.
7 August 2012 ECC objected to the application by 4 votes to 2 with one abstention. The Council’s main concern with the environmental impact of constructing the access road along Wester Fearn Burn. The Council’s letter of objection can be read here.
27 November 2012 Highland Council decided to arrange site visit in January prior to making a decision. Recommended for approval by Planning Department.

21 Feb 2012 The planning application has been submitted. Hard copies of the environmental statements etc. are to be found in the Hall. The link to Highland Council’s ePlanning search page is here.
3 April 2012 Edderton CC voted unanimously to support the application.
November 2012 Revised environmental statement submitted
4 December 2012 Edderton CC voted to maintain its support
April 2013 Permission granted.
BALBLAIR FARM - alteration and extension with new private access (13/00933/FUL)
2 April 2012 Edderton CC voted to object to the application on road safety grounds.
